Pickering Energy Partners announced a team led by Barclays investment bankers Robyn Underwood and Jason Kivett has joined their investment banking practice. This expansion includes several financial and technical professionals from Barclays, and it more than doubles Pickering Energy Partners’ M&A advisory and capital raising team.
The team will focus on traditional oil and gas, and will partner with the renewables and energy transition advisory team.
Underwood and Kivett have worked together for more than a decade with extensive experience across the energy sector. At Barclays, their team advised on over $100 billion in transactions across corporate mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, debt issuances and equity financings, which included leading more than 20 IPOs and follow-on offerings. The combined team has frequently ranked amongst the top 10 energy deal makers, both globally and in North America.
Another addition to the firm’s expanding investment banking platform is Osmar Abib’s appointment to the Pickering Energy Partners Advisory Board. Abib provides market insights based on his experience as the former global head of energy investment banking for Credit Suisse.
“Our clients turn to us for our dedication to the energy sector, and our ability to get deals done,” said Dan Pickering, chief investment officer of Pickering Energy Partners. “As the industry seeks more innovative financial solutions than ever before, our team is ready to support that demand.”
