Ranger Energy Services appointed Justin Whitley corporate secretary and general counsel effective Oct. 24, the company announced in a press release on Oct. 25.
With nearly 20 years of legal experience in the oil and gas sector, Whitley most recently served as deputy general counsel at construction company Parker Wellbore. In this role, he provided legal support while managing the company's legal and risk departments.
“I am excited that Justin will be joining Ranger," president and CEO Stuart Bodden commented in the release.
"He brings a deep understanding of the oil service business and has an operational partnership mentality that we value here at Ranger," Bodden added. "He will be a great addition to the team and provide legal advice on a wide range of commercial, operational and strategic matters.”
During his tenure at Parker Wellbore, Whitley negotiated commercial transactions, managing litigation, supporting acquisitions and corporate development and advising global operations.
Prior to his role at Parker Wellbore, Whitley served as litigation counsel at Winstead PC and other Houston-based law firms, where he represented clients in energy, commercial and other matters.
