Transocean Ltd. announced that a four-well option was exercised for the Dhirubhai Deepwater KG1 with Reliance Industries Ltd. in India.

The estimated 270-day program is expected to begin in direct continuation of the rig’s firm term with Reliance. Transocean estimated the contract would contribute $111 million in backlog, excluding additional services.

Reliance operates the Jamnagar refinery complex on India’s western coast, the world’s largest with a capacity of 1.24 million barrels per day.
