Neft-Aktiv LLC, an indirect subsidiary of Rosneft, Moscow, (London: ROSN) has acquired Lot 11 that includes the last Russian production assets of former Moscow-based Yukos for US$6.4 billion. The core assets consist of 100% interest in the upstream Samaraneftegaz, 100% interest in Kuibyshev, Novokuibyshev and Syzran refineries and 100% interest in the Novokuibyshev oils and additives plant. Additional assets include various stakes in gas refining and oil product marketing companies, services stations and tank farms. The Samaraneftegaz assets are in the Samara region and include 112 fields (101 production licenses), eight geological exploration licenses and 16 geological exploration licenses with subsequent rights. Key fields are West Kommunarnoye, Belozersko-Chubovskoye, Ozerkinskoye and South Neprinkovskoye. Proved reserves are 947.1 million barrels of oil equivalent and proved and probable reserves of 1.5 billion barrels equivalent.
