Trillion Energy International Inc. reported on Sept. 10 that its Akcakoca-3 well in the SASB gas field offshore Turkey is now producing gas.
On July 17, 11 meters of gas pay was perforated in the well. However, delayed pressure build-up resulted in no initial gas production
By Sept. 6, the Akcakoca’s wellhead pressure (WHP) increased to 616 psi allowing the well to be put into production, Trillion said.
Initial production flow rates were 4.28 MMcf/d, increasing to 4.66 MMcf/d as WHP increased to 645 psi.
Trillion’s Alapli-2 well was also brought online to test pressure resulting in gas flow to surface. But the well is not producing gas in significant quantities due to pending installation of velocity strings, Trillion said.
“All the wells except Bayhanli-2 have now been put on production or flow tested to ascertain if gas is present and capable of production in the 4 ½” production tubing. This confirms that once the 2 3/8” is installed in the wells the gas will flow in a predictable and stable manner,” said Arthur Halleran, CEO of Trillion Energy.
