Ring Energy Inc. is restructuring its management team following the departure of two senior executives, the E&P announced in a June 24 press release.
Paul McKinney, Ring’s CEO and chairman of the board, said both roles are key to Ring Energy’s execution of its long-term strategy.
Stephen Brooks, Ring’s executive vice president of land, legal, human resources and marketing, is retiring, leaving Ring to begin the search for a new legal and human resources executive team member.
Marinos Baghdati, executive vice president of operations, is leaving Ring effective July 17 to take time off from a corporate role. Shawn Young, currently a production engineering manager with over 30 years of energy industry experience, will be promoted to take over Baghdati’s position.
“Both Steve and Marinos were instrumental to our growth, profitability and establishing a culture committed to the pursuit of excellence,” McKinney said. “They did an excellent job of developing their respective organizations at the company, including attracting and retaining personnel to ensure our continued success. This includes Shawn Young, who has proven to be an invaluable team member that we welcome to the Ring executive management team.”
McKinney said a formal announcement for Brooks’ replacement is expected in the coming weeks.
