1. NEW-American Oil & Gas Corp. has retained Meagher Oil & Gas Properties Inc. to sell its coalbed-methane and conventional production from nonoperated properties in the Powder River and Williston basins of Wyoming, Montana and North Dakota.

The coalbed-methane properties have net reserves of 271 million cubic feet of gas, while the conventional properties have net reserves of 23,792 barrels of oil and 80.2 million cubic feet of gas.

2. NEW-Axio Natural Resources has retained Randall & Dewey to sell the company.

Axio's assets include 135 operated wells primarily in South Texas and the Texas Panhandle. Current net production is approximately 8.5 million cubic feet of gas equivalent (95% gas; 100% operated).

Axio owns 12,000 net leasehold acres with a resource base estimated at more than 120 billion cubic feet of gas equivalent and an ongoing five-well drilling program.

The properties are in South Bearhead Creek Field, Beauregard Parish, Louisiana; multiple fields in Lea County, New Mexico; and Damascus Field, Angelina and Polk counties, Texas.

Net daily production averaged 216 barrels of oil and 560,000 cubic feet of gas during June 2005. Net remaining total proved reserves are approximately 4.2 million barrels of oil and 14.4 billion cubic feet of gas.

18. NEW-Kerr-McGee Corp. has retained Scotia Waterous to sell interests in South Texas, the Rockies, the Anadarko and Permian basins, and on the Gulf Coast.

First-quarter net production was approximately 7,300 barrels of oil equivalent per day and net reserves are estimated at 68.2 million barrels of oil equivalent.

The South Texas assets consist of operated properties in the Tijerna-Canales-Blucher, Rincon, Vaquillas Ranch and San Carlos fields. First-quarter production averaged 2,420 barrels of oil equivalent and proved reserves are some 17.2 million barrels equivalent.

The Rocky Mountain region assets consist of conventional and coalbed-methane properties in the Powder River and D-J basins. First-quarter production totaled 3,149 barrels equivalent per day and proved reserves are estimated at 11.6 million barrels equivalent.

The Midcontinent assets include waterfloods in the Calumet, Oakdale and Rush Springs SW fields. First-quarter production was 614 barrels equivalent per day and proved reserves are approximately 4.4 million barrels equivalent.

The Permian Basin assets include the Levelland, Slaughter, Nolley and McFarland fields. First-quarter production totaled 809 barrels equivalent per day and proved reserves are estimated at 6.3 million barrels equivalent.

Major fields for sale on the Gulf Coast include Buna West, Nona Mills and Masters Creek. Net production for January 2005 was 270 barrels equivalent per day and proved reserves are some 1.3 million barrels equivalent.

Proposals will be accepted for the entire package or for major producing areas individually.

19. NEW-Kilrush Petroleum Inc. has retained Burks Oil & Gas Properties Inc. to sell its interests in the Edgerly and Barnes Creek fields in Calcasieu and Allen parishes, Louisiana.

The Edgerly Field includes five new producing oil completions in four wellbores with net production of 79 barrels of oil and 102,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Net proved reserves are approximately 276,000 barrels of oil and 328 million cubic feet of gas on 800 acres.

The Barnes Creek Field includes one new producing well with net production of 127,000 cubic feet of gas per day and net proved reserves of approximately 292 million cubic feet of gas and 22,500 barrels of oil on 320 gross acres.

20. King Oil Inc. and Western Kentucky Petroleum have retained Midland Minerals Corp. and Price Realty Ltd. to sell the Buckhorn East-Consolidated Field in western Illinois.

The field has an estimated 2 million barrels of recoverable oil from 150 wells on 2,500 acres.

21. Longhorn Properties LLC has retained Albrecht & Associates Inc. to sell its working interest and participation rights in the Barnett Shale, North Texas.

The interests include proved reserves of 17.7 billion cubic feet, 16 proved undeveloped locations ad long-life gas reserves. The company's working interest in 16 producing wells averages 17.8%.

The company is also selling its right to participate for a working interest up to 24% in any well drilled on 3,800 acres. Chesapeake Energy Co. is operator of the wells.

The package is focused in the Rockies in the Wind River, Powder River and D-J basins with long-lived assets in 15 fields. Production is 1,241 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

24. NEW-Mustang Drilling Ltd. has retained Lantana Oil & Gas Partners to sell its interests in the Cotton Valley sands, East Texas.

The package includes 2,556 net acres with 17 active wells and gross operated production of 6.7 million cubic feet of gas per day. Net proved reserves total some 58.45 billion cubic feet of gas.

Mustang currently has a 100% drilling success rate in the Cotton Valley. The package includes 51 proved undeveloped, 14 probable and nine possible locations.

25. NEW-Oneok Inc., Tulsa, Okla., (NYSE: OKE) may sell its E&P assets in the third quarter. Proceeds will be used to reduce debt.

The company has assets in four fields in Oklahoma and Texas. The company plans to contact a limited number of prospective buyers and open a data room at its headquarters.
