The U.S. has extended the general license for Petroleos de Venezuela's 2020 8.5% bond, according to a notice posted to the U.S. Department of Treasury website on Aug. 12.
The decision authorizes "certain transactions related to the Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. 2020 8.5 Percent Bond on or after Nov. 12, 2024," according to the department statement.
