Vermilion Energy Trust, Calgary, (Toronto: VET.UN) plans to acquire Glacier Energy Ltd. for C$6.25 per share and the assumption of approximately C$9 million in net debt for total consideration of C$94 million. Vermilion will finance the transaction through its existing credit facilities. The deal is expected to close in December. Glacier's assets consist primarily of coalbed-methane lands, production and reserves in central Alberta. The acquisition includes proved reserves of 2.8 million barrels of oil equivalent and proved-plus-probable reserves of 4.5 million barrels of oil equivalent.
