James A. Watt has resigned as chief executive and chairman of Maverick Oil and Gas Inc., Dallas (OTCBB: MVOG). Stephen Cohen was named interim CEO. He is director of legal affairs and corporate counsel. David Preng was named chairman. He has board experience with several public and private companies and is an executive recruiter with Houston-based Preng & Associates. Watt joined Maverick last summer after leading and selling Remington Oil and Gas Corp. to Helix Energy Solutions.
