It previously had produced from deeper Duperow. 5 Klabzuba Oil & Gas Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, plans two wildcat wells in a nonproducing township nine to 12 miles northeast of Winifred in northern Fergus County, Mont. The #23-10-22-19 Thompson is in Section 23-22n-19e and the #21-2-22-20 Kinkelaar is four miles east in Section 21-22n-20e. Both wells will test Cretaceous Judith River, Eagle, Telegraph Creek, Niobrara and White Specks formations. The Thompson well also will look at Jurassic Morrison. The closest production is some 4.5 miles north and six miles northwest, respectively, of Leroy Field, which has produced more than 12.2 billion cu. ft. of gas from Judith River and Eagle from depths shallower than 2,000 ft. 6 The Houston Exploration Co., Houston, has asked the state of Montana for permits for three wildcats in a remote area eight to 13 miles south and southeast of Big Timber in Sweet Grass County. The wells, which were not named, are in sections 6 and 13 of Township 2s-15e and in Section 34-1s-14e. Plans call for drilling to depths from 3,430 to 4,865 ft. The closest production is between 18 and 25 miles south-southeast of Dean Dome Field, which has produced 105,732 bbl. of oil, 9.9 million cu. ft. of gas and 20,757 bbl. of water from Greybull sand above 3,300 ft., according to IHS Energy. 7 Enid, Okla.-based Continental Resources Inc. plans a dual-lateral horizontal Bakken wildcat about 11 miles east-northeast of Wildrose in Divide County, N.D. The company's #1-21H Ellen will be spudded in Section 21-160n-95w and drilled diagonally across sections 21 and 16 of the same township. The wildcat is 1.5 miles west of Stoneview Field. 8 Tulsa-based Zinke & Trumbo Inc. has staked a wildcat in the northwestern part of nonproducing Ward County, N.D., about 4.5 miles east of Kenmare. The #1-24 Johnsen is in Section 24-160n-88w. The well is more than three miles west-southwest of the abandoned discovery well for Norma Field. That well, the #1 Carstens in Section 16-160n-87w, was completed for 23 bbl. of oil and nine bbl. of water a day from perforations between 5,832-36 ft. in the Mohall member of the Mission Canyon (Madison). 9 Hunt Oil Co., Dallas, has scheduled two 13,500-ft. wildcats to look for Mesaverde gas in an undrilled township in the Big Horn Basin of Wyoming.
