Whitewater Management is buying Orion Water Solutions to expand its wastewater treatment offerings, the fluid management company said March 3.

Located in the Permian Basin, Orion’s advanced treatment system turns wastewater into clean, reusable water using mobile and fixed facility treatment units.

The acquisition is “a natural extension” to Whitewater’s fluid management services, said Whitewater President and CEO Rod Stearn.

"By integrating Orion's advanced Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF), chlorine dioxide and biological wastewater treatment technologies, we will unlock new opportunities across multiple sectors, including oil & gas, mining and municipal infrastructure," Stearn said.

Canadian investment firm Hillcore Group owns Whitewater Management and its production chemical company Catalyst Production Services.

Sparkstone Capital Advisors LLC acted as exclusive financial adviser to Orion Water Solutions for the deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
