In cinematic terms, 2020 felt a little like a black and white Swedish film for A&D. It was slightly difficult to follow, there was a pestilence in the land and reactions ranged from somewhat to totally disappointed.
Cut to 2021. The breezy return of dealmaking was a genuine return to Technicolor deal flow, musical (or at least very healthy) numbers and a nice mix of consolidation and asset deals mixing it up.
While everyone talked ESG, deals in the past 12 months steadily reached pre-pandemic figures. PwC counted 152 deals with $133 billion in value, including upstream deals valued at $47 billion.
The highlight real from 2021 includes ConocoPhillips Co.’s $9.5 billion Permian Basin acquisition from Royal Dutch Shell Plc and the split-basin combination of Cimarex Energy Co. and Cabot Oil and Gas Corp. into a single company, Coterra Energy.
So the stage is now set for 2022 and before you in this directory are its authors, directors and stars. Oil and Gas Investor puts in your hands an expansive tool for connecting with people at large independents, major oil companies and private equity E&Ps looking to buy.
As in years past, this edition provides a direct line of contact to the A&D point person for oil companies, big private players and newer upstream companies ready to dig into new territory.
Foremost, the Who’s Who in E&P A&D is a road map for you and your colleagues. It contains roughly 400 A&D professionals representing hundreds of companies. Inside are the presidents, CEOs, founders, and land and acquisitions managers who are the gatekeepers to possible sales, acquisitions and trades.
Some have moved to new companies, but with your help, we’ve managed to track them down and expand the contacts listed within. Thank you for yet another year of assistance and willingness to participate. This directory is for and about you, and we thank you.
Please stay in touch and let us know if your information should change. Our online searchable database is updated throughout the year and allows visitors to find current information.
As always, may you have good fortune and great deals.
