Clint Soderstrom
Fullstream provides midstream solutions to producers in the Scoop and Stack plays, the Anadarko Basin, the Permian Basin, and the Marcellus-Utica play based on partnerships.
Career path: He worked from 2007 to 2011 in A&D and commercial development for The Williams Cos. Inc. before serving as vice president of business development at EQT Corp. from September 2011 to March 2015, identifying and closing new midstream opportunities. He and business partner Larry Murphy founded Fullstream in August 2016.
Soderstrom’s maternal grandfather founded an E&P after working as a pumper, and Soderstrom warmed to the idea of working in industry by the time he was in high school. “I grew up in the oil patch [in Oklahoma], hearing about it,” he said. He acknowledged that all these years later, his biggest career challenge after embracing the legacy was “starting Fullstream in a down commodity-price environment amid an extremely competitive landscape for midstream companies.”
Quotable: “Every aspect of life is cyclical—personal relationships as much as industry booms and busts. Success in both is more about making emotionally intelligent and intellectually honest decisions based on where you are in those cycles, than it is about being right.”
