Aker Solutions and partner Kvaerner have secured additional hook-up and commissioning work for Equinor’s Johan Sverdrup Field offshore Norway, a news release said.
The operator exercised an option in the riser platform hook-up contract awarded in January 2017 for Aker Solutions to perform hook-up and commissioning assistance of the field’s utility and living quarter platform, according to the release. The job also includes preparatory offshore work connected with the phase two modifications of the riser platform.
Aker Solutions will execute the new scope with Kvaerner. Preparation work is scheduled to begin this fall, while offshore work for the utility and living quarter platform is scheduled to begin in second-quarter 2019, according to the release.
