America Resources Exploration Inc. acquired a fractional interest in two Carthage Field wells in the Haynesville Shale, the company said Aug. 13.
ExxonMobil Corp.’s (XOM) subsidiary XTO Energy Inc. operates both wells. They produced an average of 6,763 thousand cubic feet of natural gas through April. Both wells have demonstrated year-over-year production growth. Their completion interval depth is between 12,890 feet (ft) and 19,053 ft.
In 2009, the Haynesville was estimated to have 75Tcf of recoverable gas, second only to the Marcellus Shale.
”We are excited to diversify our production portfolio with this natural gas play," said Huang Yu, CEO of America Resources. "This transaction also displays our determination to associate with established operating partners like XTO Energy in an industry where relationships are a key to success and longevity."
America Resources Exploration Inc. is based in Houston.
