Black Elk Energy Offshore Operations LLC announced in a press release a second successful flow test conducted on July 25 at the Ship Shoal Block 198, Well No. I-8 sidetrack in the Gulf of Mexico (GoM).

The flow test reported an average rate of 859 b/d of oil at 1,700-psi flowing tubing pressure. In addition to current completion, Black Elk Energy encountered over 20 reservoirs uphole that are behind pipe for future development consideration, according to the press release.
