CDI Energy Products, a global leader in high-performance polymer products, said July 23 that after a lengthy audit, it has successfully completed the API Spec Q1 Recertification.
CDI’s custom-engineered materials and wear components are trusted by industry leaders across the globe. The reliability of CDI’s products, coupled with excellence in our manufacturing processes and procedures, delivers the confidence these companies demand. The company’s said its quality management system is a key component in its deliverability.
“The commitment to certifying our quality management system to industry standards is reflected in the unwavering resolve of our team continuously striving for operational excellence,” David Greathouse, vice president of operations, said. “With our deep understanding of the energy industry and beyond, we recognize the importance of quality materials and products for critically-demanding environments.”
API Spec Q1 titled “Specification for Quality Management System Requirements for Manufacturing Organizations for the Petroleum and Natural Gas Industry” is a company level certification based on the standards developed and published by the American Petroleum Institute (API). This certification is intended for companies that manufacture equipment or components of equipment used in oil and natural gas production. Certifications are issued exclusively by API. Companies must submit their quality manual for approval and host an on-site audit conducted by an API official. Companies must have a quality system in place meeting the risk-mitigation requirements outlined in the industry standards. Annual audits are conducted to ensure consistent adherence to industry standards.
“From prototype to production, we address quality at every step in our fully integrated manufacturing process. Our customers come to us with tough challenges, often for high pressure and extreme temperature conditions, and quality is top priority. We are proud to see our commitment to quality endorsed by our recent API Q1 Audit,” Brian Bertelsen, vice president of sales and marketing, said.
