U.S. LNG company Chienere Energy Inc. loaded its first cargo from the third liquefaction train of its Corpus Christi plant in Texas, according to the company's Twitter account and shiptracking data on Dec. 8.
Cheniere, the largest LNG producer in the U.S., said in a tweet that it had loaded the train's commissioning cargo and also the plant's 200th cargo onto LNG tanker La Mancha Knutsen on Dec. 7.
"We continue to track ahead of schedule on Train 3," it added.
The company had said last month that it expects "substantial completion" of the train in the first quarter of 2021, after previously saying that it expected to complete the train in the first half of next year.
Refinitiv Eikon shiptracking data showed that the tanker is currently on the move after loading the cargo on Monday, though no destination has been indicated.
U.S. shipped about 4.9 million tonnes of LNG in November, the highest monthly volumes since February, this year, the data showed.
