James J. Ling, founder, president, chief executive officer and director of Empiric Energy Inc., Dallas, (Pink Sheets: EPRC) has passed away. Edmund L. Fry, grandson of Ling, has been appointed to the board in Ling’s place. Fry is vice president of Witt/Kieffer.
