Eni Starts Gas Production In Western Siberia

Eni started the production of hydrocarbons from the Samburskoye field in the district of Yamal-Nenets in Western Siberia, Russia.

The initial gas and liquids production of the field will be 43,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d). The maximum gas and liquids production, expected to peak in 2015, will be 145,000 boe/d.

The gas produced will be sold to Gazprom, while Eni will retain the buy back and marketing rights on the Russian domestic market. The condensates will be destined for foreign markets.

SeverEnergia, a company in which Eni holds stake, operates the Samburskoye field, with 30% working interest; Novatek, 25.5%; Gazpromneft, 25.5%; and Enel, 19%.
