ERF Wireless (OTCBB: ERFW), a provider of enterprise-class wireless broadband products and services, has entered into a Master Services Agreement with Bluebird Broadband Services Inc., a Bossier City, Louisiana-based fixed wireless broadband operator, for the delivery of wholesale Internet and bandwidth services to Energy Broadband Inc., the oil and gas subsidiary of ERF Wireless.
Energy Broadband will use this enhanced wireless broadband coverage to deliver digital oil field solutions to oil and gas companies under existing contracts, as well as to other oil and gas companies active in the Haynesville Shale areas in northwest Louisiana and northeast Texas.
According to Dr. H. Dean Cubley, CEO of ERF Wireless, "This agreement marks the seventh in a series of agreements with quality wireless network providers throughout major oil and gas regions of North America. This approach, when combined with our continued construction of quality wireless broadband networks, allows the company to rapidly expand its wireless coverage area in strategic locations required to have Energy Broadband service to meet the needs of the company's growing oil and gas customer base."
"Bluebird Broadband Services Inc. has built an extensive high-quality network and operations over the past four years and is currently servicing customers in the surrounding markets off some 65 towers that provide more than 5,000 square miles of wireless broadband coverage," said Stephen Hyde, general manager of Bluebird Broadband Services Inc. "We are pleased to have completed the strategic partnership with ERF Wireless and look forward to providing quality Internet and bandwidth services to ERF Wireless for ultimate delivery to their end user oil and gas customers."
ERF Wireless, through its wholly owned subsidiary Energy Broadband Inc., continues expansion of its energy industry business base with new contracts to provide communications service, equipment and infrastructure to a number of oil, gas and related energy sector companies throughout North America. These service offerings have been especially concentrated throughout western Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Oklahoma for the past two years. More recently, some of Energy Broadband's larger customers have been expanding their holdings in other key markets including the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas, the Barnett Shale in North Texas and areas of northern and western Colorado.
"Through our strategic relationship with Bluebird, our ability to fulfill requests for broadband service to drilling and production operations in key areas such as the Haynesville Shale Region in northwest Louisiana and northeast Texas has been greatly accelerated," commented John Nagel, CEO of Energy Broadband. Nagel went on to say, "Bluebird has put together an exceptional wireless broadband Internet service and we are proud to be working closely with their professional staff members. We are now capable of extending reliable, high-quality voice and data connectivity to our energy based customers located within their remote coverage areas."
