Well ETP IV-2003 in Russia’s Timan-Pechora region encountered the Lower Silurian reservoir at 3,273 m (10,738 ft), confirming 8.6 m (28 ft) of effective net oil pay within the reservoir, Exillon Energy announced.
Due to the angled trajectory of the wellbore, this exposed 13.3 m (44 ft) of effective net oil pay for production, according to a news release. The well flowed water-free oil to the surface with a flow rate of 465 b/d.
The well was drilled 0.8 km west of Pad 1 and is now connected to Exillon’s existing production facilities. The drilling rig has now spudded Well ETP IV-3000 targeting the southern part of the ETP IV field.
