Initial drilling operations on the Besa-D-1 well have reached total depth (TD) of 3,000 m (9,843 ft) and have encountered gas shows, Falcon Oil & Gas Ltd. said in a press release.
Besa-D-1 is the second of a planned three well program to evaluate the gas potential of the Algyo Formation in the Mako Trough license in Hungary. The well has been cased to TD and is suspended pending further technical evaluation in order to determine an appropriate testing program later this year.
The date for completion of drilling and testing the three well program with Naftna Industrija Srbije Jsc has been extended from July 2014 to Dec. 31, 2014.
