Forent Energy Ltd., Calgary, (Toronto Venture: FEN) has named W. Brett Wilson chairman following the death of president, chief executive and chairman Dennis Forgeron. Wilson was a board member.
Forgeron died on Aug. 5 in an airplane crash off the coast of Nova Scotia.
Wilson is chairman of private merchant bank Prairie Merchant Corp. He was a co-founder and partner at energy investment bank FirstEnergy Capital Corp.
Thomas E. Lester has been named president and CEO. He is chief financial officer.
Forent has oil and gas operations onshore Nova Scotia.
