Gazprom Neft completed testing its second well at the Badra Field in eastern Iraq, according to a company press release. Three tests on the well, which the company operates, delivered an average flow rate of 10,000 bbl/d of oil.
Successful test of two wells – the first of which was completed in December 2013 – will enable Gazprom Neft to begin commercial oil production at the Badra Field over the next few months, the company said. Drilling work is continuing on a third well, and drilling rigs are being mobilized for six additional wells as part of the contract signed in 2013 with ZPEC.
