Australia Pacific LNG awarded Vinidex a contract to supply the high-density-polyethylene (HDPE) plastic pipes to transport gas and water extracted from coal-seam-gas (CSG) production wells located in the Surat and Bowen basins as part of its CSG-to-LNG project.
Vinidex will supply more than 3,200 km of HDPE interconnecting pipe to Australia Pacific to transport gas and water from its source to treatment plants and the main pipeline.
The company is expected to increase its workforce by up to 50 people to meet peak construction demands. It intends to build a new manufacturing facility on 80,000 sq m in Toowoomba to service this contract and the growing CSG and mining industries.
