Husky Energy Inc., Calgary, (Toronto: HSE) reports John C.S. Lau will retire as president and chief executive to focus on new business for the company in the Asia-Pacific region.
Lau will move to Hong Kong where his responsibilities will include existing businesses in Indonesia and the South China Sea.
Husky is developing a deepwater natural gas discovery in Block 29/26 of the South China Sea, one of the largest discovered gas fields offshore China. In Indonesia, Husky has an approved plan of development to produce gas from BD Field in the Madura Strait.
Husky Energy is an integrated energy companies operating upstream, midstream and downstream segments in Canada and the Asia-Pacific region.
