Mariner Energy Inc. has retained The Oil & Gas Asset Clearinghouse to sell certain operated and nonoperated interests in the Arkansas Fayetteville shale in a negotiated transaction.
The package includes 5,178 gross acres (4,780 net) in a concentrated area in White, Faulkner and Cleburne counties with proven production in the Fayetteville shale and Hale sands. XTO Energy Inc. and Chesapeake Energy Corp. are operators for the nonoperated assets.
