Veteran KPMG energy practice executive Regina Mayor has been named global sector head for energy and natural resources.
Mayor, based in Houston, will continue in her role as U.S. national sector leader.
Mayor joined KPMG in 2006 and has more than 25 years’ experience in advising major oil companies around the world. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communications and government from Cornell University and her master’s degree in public policy from Harvard University.
She has served as an adjunct professor at Rice University, teaching a class on Energy Strategy for executive MBA students and co-leads KPMG’s (U.S.) national Veterans Network. She was commissioned an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve.
In addition to hosting KPMG’s annual Global Energy Conference, Mayor has presented at industry forums such as the World Energy Conference, Platts, APPEA, and the Argus Americas Crude Conference. She appears in a video as part of a Hart Energy interactive feature on the Permian Basin.
Mayor succeeds Michiel Soeting who will continue client leadership roles with KPMG in the UK.
