Monadnock Resources LLC received $100 million in equity from Kayne Anderson Energy Funds and members of its management team, Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors LP said Aug. 17.
Newly formed, Dallas-based Monadnock acquires and develops oil and natural gas in North America, including the Permian Basin.
Matt Gentry, president and CEO, leads the management team, comprised of Adam Howard, vice president of engineering; David Williamson, vice president of geoscience; and Kelli Roach, vice president and general counsel. Prior to forming Monadnock, management members most recently held senior leadership positions at private companies.
“We wanted to partner with an equity provider that shows strength, integrity and pragmatism. With Kayne Anderson, we receive exactly that, along with a track record of successfully backing and aiding management teams. Monadnock is delighted to partner with Kayne Anderson and looks forward to a mutually prosperous relationship,” Gentry said.
