Production at the Búzios presalt field in the Santos Basin offshore Brazil has started through the P-74 FPSO, Petrobras said in a news release.
Located about 200 km off the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro, P-74 sits at a water depth of 2,000 meters and is the 13th platform to enter operation in the Brazilian presalt.
Due to the field’s high production potential, four more production units will be destined for this field between 2018 and 2021, the company said. Each platform will have the capacity to process up to 150,000 barrels of oil and 6 million cubic meters of gas per day.
