Range Resources Corp. (NYSE: RRC) said Nov. 9 it plans to appoint Mark S. Scucchi, currently vice president of finance and treasurer, as CFO following the expected retirement of Roger S. Manny.
Manny, who has been with the Fort Worth-based company since 2003, plans to retire after Range's 2018 annual stockholder meeting on May 16, 2018, according to the company press release.
Jeff Ventura, Range's chairman and CEO, said in a statement: “Since joining Range in 2003, Roger has been an invaluable part of the senior management team. His professionalism and dedication have played a large part in the company’s many successes over the last 14 years.”
Scucchi joined Range in 2008 with responsibilities including corporate finance, treasury and planning. Prior to joining the company, he worked for JPMorgan Securities Inc. providing commercial and investment banking services to small and mid-cap technology companies and also spent a number of years at Ernst & Young LLP in the audit practice serving clients in the upstream oil and gas and utility sectors, among others.
Ventura said Scucchi's experience in banking and public accounting gives him “great confidence in his ability to step into the role of CFO and be effective from day one.”
Additionally, Manny said he will work closely with Scucchi and the rest of the team over the next few months to ensure a “seamless transition and I know I will be leaving the company and the CFO role in great hands.”
Scucchi earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University and a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame. He is a CFA charter holder and a CPA licensed in the state of Texas, according to the release.
