Robert L. Whiting passed away May 4
in College Station, Texas, where he was
a Texas A&M University petroleum
engineering professor since 1949 and a
petroleum consultant. Whiting was cited
in 2000 in Hart Energy Publishing’s
“100 Most Influential People of the
Petroleum Century.”
