Dmitry Avdeev has been appointed vice president (VP) for finance and economics at Rosneft.
Avdeev has spent 17 years working with issues related to the Russian oil and gas industry. In 1995-98, he served as deputy head of the project finance department at oil company Sidanco, before moving to work as managing director at UFG and Deutsche UFG. In 2006, he was appointed executive director for the Russian and CIS oil and gas industry at Morgan Stanley.
In 2008, Avdeev took up the post of chief financial officer at the oilfield services group Integra. In 2010, he was appointed co-head and deputy chairman of the management board of investment banking in Russia and CIS at Morgan Stanley.
Avdeev is a graduate of Moscow State University with a degree in applied mathematics.
