Gazprom, Russia’s biggest natural gas producer, has signed a LNG cooperation agreement with Japanese trading firm Mitsui & Co., Gazprom said on Sept. 7.
“The document reflects the parties' striving toward cooperation in production, transportation and marketing of small and medium-scale LNG on the territory of Japan, as well as LNG bunkering in the Sea of Japan,” Gazprom said.
Gazprom also said it had clarified certain provisions in the memorandum of understanding it signed with the Japan Bank for International Cooperation in 2016.
