Russia’s second-largest oil producer Lukoil said on April 3 it has signed a contract for hydrocarbon exploration and development of the Zhenis Block in Kazakhstan’s sector of Caspian Sea.
The company said the project’s operator is owned by Lukoil and KazMunayGas on equal terms.
Lukoil will drill at least one exploration well and carry out a 3-D seismic survey.
