Viking Mineral Partners I LLC recently sold its oil and gas mineral and royalty interests located throughout the core of the Eagle Ford Shale play for about $28.3 million.
An undisclosed company agreed to acquire Viking’s assets comprising 1,191 net royalty acres plus interest in 84 HBP units and more than 41,000 gross unit acres in Karnes, DeWitt and Gonzales counties, Texas. The sale also included more than 200 wells in pay as well as over 40 DUCs and permitted wells.
Stephens Inc., which Viking retained as its exclusive adviser relating to the transaction, said the company completed the sale on Sept. 7.
Viking Mineral Partners I is an affiliate of Viking Minerals LLC, which is a mineral acquisition company based in Oklahoma City. Established in 2012 as an acquirer of minerals and royalty in Oklahoma, Viking has expanded operations to include $200 million in transactions throughout multiple basins nationwide.
