John Jameson was appointed president of Weir Seaboard, Weir Oil and Gas announced.
Jameson will be responsible for strategic direction of the company and the achievement of yearly sales and profit targets.
He brings to the position upstream experience. He started his career with Halliburton as a field engineer and held a variety of roles over a span of 16 years, and ultimately rose to the position of global business unit manager. Following Halliburton, Jameson spent 12 years at Weatherford, where he began as global business unit manager for its PCP business and was promoted to senior vice president for the US region.
Jameson received a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a master of business administration from Centenary College in Louisiana.
