Suzanne Whitehurst, IPAA vice president, crude oil and technology policy, died on March 20 following a battle with cancer. Whitehurst organized and implemented IPAA’s efforts supporting federal oil and gas research and development and assisted in coordinating with IPAA’s cooperating associations. She was named one of the “Top Ten Crude Oil and Natural Gas Lobbyists” for two years in a row by The Hill newspaper in Washington D.C.
