Mexco Energy Corp., Midland, Texas, (Amex: MXC) has acquired interests in approximately 143 mineral acres, amounting to an approximately 10% royalty, including three gas wells in Johnson County, Texas, for $1.275 million. The three development wells are in Newark East (Barnett shale) Field and are being prepared for production. Approximately 28 (14 net) of the 143 acres are outside of the drilling and spacing unit. Williams Production Gulf Coast Co. LP is operator.
