Acquired 50% WI in BMC-29 Concession in Brazil.

Ecopetrol Oil Gas do Brasil Ltda., a Brazilian subsidiary of Ecopetrol SA, Bogata, Colombia, (NYSE: EC) entered a participation agreement with Anadarko Exploracao e Producao de Petroleo e Gas Natural Ltda., a subsidiary of Anadarko Petroleum Corp., The Woodlands, Texas, (NYSE: APC) where both companies will have a 50% participation in the BMC-29 Concession in Brazil. The BMC-29 Concession is an offshore concession in the Campos Basin that was awarded to Anadarko during the sixth round of auctions in Brazil. The project is in the exploration phase.
