Bought company, gaining 377 wells in TN.

Miller Energy Resources LLC, Huntsville, Tenn., (OTCBB: MILL) has acquired privately-owned East Tennessee Consultants, Sunbright, Tenn., for $250,000 in stock. East Tennessee Consultants owns and operates 377 oil and gas wells on approximately 5,000 acres in Tennessee. Miller recently announced the acquisition of Ky-Tenn Oil Inc., Helenwood, Tenn., with 180 wells on 30,000 acres in Fentress, Morgan and Scott counties. Many of the East Tennessee Consultants wells are on Ky-Tenn leases. "This is the second of several acquisitions we are considering," says Scott Boruff, Miller chief executive. "On a short-term basis, we believe there will be a cost savings in operations. In the more important longer term, it gives us a majority interest in several oil and gas fields that have potential for water flooding, enhanced recovery or gas storage." He adds, "ETC is an excellent production company, which in addition to operating its own wells, operates more than 100 wells for other owners. We look forward to merging their management team into our team as we continue to grow." Miller Energy operates in the Tennessee Appalachian Basin.
