Bought three undisclosed companies with assets in AB, gaining 28 BO/d, 390 Mcf/d.
Eagle Rock Exploration Ltd., Calgary, (TSX: ERX) has closed the acquisition of three unnamed, Alberta-based private companies for C$4.5 million. The Beverley property includes a facility that will assist Eagle Rock's production from the area, eliminating third-party processing costs. The deal is valued at C$43,010 per flowing barrel equivalent. Each of the acquired companies hold a 100% working interest and operatorship in a gas property in the Conrad area of southern Alberta and a 74.5% working interest and operatorship in the Beverley area of southwest Saskatchewan, one of Eagle Rock's core areas. Total production is approximately 28 barrels of oil and 390,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Eagle Rock president and chief executive Jim Silye says, "With this transaction, Eagle Rock has expanded its Beverley oil play in southwest Saskatchewan and these properties will provide additional impetus for growth in both reserves and production going forward."
