Bought additional 7,860 acres in Peace River region, AB.
Tamm Oil and Gas Corp., Calgary, (OTCBB: TAMO) has acquired an additional 7,860 acres in the Peace River region of Alberta from three undisclosed private companies for approximately US$13.6 million in stock. Tamm issued 17 million shares to the owners. The assets are in the Manning area and increase Tamm's land holdings in the area to more than 30,000 acres. A report from an independent petroleum engineering firm has estimated the heavy oil in place in the first 35 sections (22,400 acres) of the Manning assets at 2.33 billion barrels of total original heavy oil in place. Tamm director and exploration advisor Don Hryhor says the new lands acquired are contiguous to Tamm's lands already owned and increases its holding in the Manning project by 25%. "These additions make Tamm a dominant player in the region," he says.
