To purchase additional 60% WI in 10,858 sq. km. in PEL 2815 offshore Namibia.
Universal Power Corp., Vancouver, (Toronto Venture: UNX) plans to acquire an additional 60% interest in Petroleum Exploration Licence 2815 offshore Namibia from Namibia-based Limpet Investments (Proprietary) Ltd. in a cash and stock deal valued at approximately US$2.65 million. Universal Power will pay US$1 million and 3,000,000 shares, bringing its total interest in the block to 90%. Namibia Industrial Development Group (Pty) Ltd., a subsidiary of Limpet, has the oil and gas exploration license to explore block number 2815 and the offshore portions of blocks 2816 and 2915. PEL 2815 covers 10,858 square kilometers east of the Kudu gas field and north of Orange Basin. Limpet is controlled by Knowledge Katti, who is a director of the Universal Power. Universal Power holds interests in six blocks offshore Namibia, West Africa.
