Purchased 50% WI in Viking gas field with 48 wells at Dodsland.

Privately held Calgary-based Marble Point Energy Ltd. has closed the acquisition of producing assets in the Dodsland area of southwestern Saskatchewan from Result Energy Inc., Calgary, (Toronto Venture: RTE) for C$11.8 million. The properties include a 50% working interest in a shallow Viking gas field (48 wells) and related compression facilities at Dodsland, plus production (one oil and six gas wells) and wellsite facilities at nearby East Dodsland. Marble will use the proceeds to pay its secured bank term debt. Rundle Energy Partners was agent.
