Acquired 100% WI in deep Leduc reef prospect with 3,860 acres in township 69-83-22W6 in Fort St. Johns area. Includes cased well available for re-entry.
Breaker Energy Ltd., Calgary, (Toronto: WAV) recently acquired a 100% working interest in a deep Leduc reef prospect in British Columbia from an undisclosed seller in a swap of assets at an undisclosed value. The prospect involves approximately 3,860 acres in township 69-83-22W6 in the Fort St. Johns area. It consists of a cased well available for re-entry in addition to the land interest, which the company believes may represent a near-miss drilled with 2-D seismic data. The original well established the presence of more than 130 meters of tight dolomite, allowing for the possibility of a pay column similar to other deep Leduc gas pools elsewhere in western Canada, Breaker believes. Breaker's total production at year-end 2006 was approximately 5,000 barrels per day with 12.5 million barrels of proved reserves.
