An undisclosed buyer has acquired a gas-weighted property at Spirit River, Alberta, from Great Plains Exploration Inc., Calgary, (Toronto: GPX) for approximately $5 million. The assets include a 30% working interest in nonoperated properties. Production is 132 barrels of oil per day. Proved plus probable net reserves are 1.7 billion cubic feet of gas and 109,000 barrels of oil. The deal has an effective date of Oct. 1.
