Prospex Resources Ltd., Calgary, has closed its acquisition of assets near Ricinus, Alberta, from an undisclosed seller for C$11.6 million. The assets include 16 wells (11.9 net) producing 360 barrels of oil equivalent per day (76% gas). Prospex had an interest in 11 of the wells. Proved plus probable reserves are 940,000 barrels equivalent. The deal includes related gas-gathering and field-compression facilities. The purchase was financed from the company's credit facility. The effective date is Dec. 1, 2007.
